Chris S. Green, CPA
Chris is a 1978 graduate of Texas Tech University. Here she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and graduated with high honors. A CPA since 1990, Chris started her accounting career as an auditor with one of the largest CPA firms, Ernst and Young, working primarily in the industries of healthcare and banking. As an auditor, she learned the discipline and attention to detail necessary for exact and complete bookkeeping and accounting records. This position as an auditor set the foundation for her career and it was at Ernst and Young that she learned the hands-on approach to client service.
She then spent several years in industry as a Chief Financial Officer. There she continued her attention to detail as she designed and implemented the accounting systems for a number of different businesses. With this position she continued to work with the art of understanding "what the numbers mean" in terms of tracking and managing businesses. At this time, she decided to venture out on her own. With a large number of clients in the healthcare industry, Chris began assisting clients in maintaining their own set of books. It was at this time that Chris began to design the practice to serve clients that were small and needed a CFO but did not need to hire a full time employee. Chris began to fill that need by serving her clients and setting up their own accounting systems using QuickBooks. Because of her experience as a CFO, Chris has been able to fulfill any financial officer responsibilities that her clients have needed. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Chris and her husband Barry live in Fort Worth. When Chris is not busy with her practice and clients, she enjoys scuba diving in the Caribbean with her family who have all been certified scuba divers since 2001. Her greatest joy come from the recent birth of her first grandchild, Sterling Grace, who occupies much of her free time these days. And on Friday afternoons, you will find her and Emma Jane, the Team Mascot, volunteering for Pet Partners the nation’s largest Animal-Assisted therapy programs.

Barbra Palmer, CPA – Staff Accountant
Barbra Palmer is the newest addition to the team. Since joining us in June of 2014, Barbra has taken her role here as a staff accountant as an opportunity to deepen her knowledge, not only by blending her financial reporting experience with her tax preparation experience, but also by contributing her own unique perspective to help enhance our firm’s commitment to quality. Barbra has become an integral part of our team and she has become an important part of our family.
While most of Barbra’s college years were attended at The University of Texas at Arlington, she finished her last semester after a move to San Antonio in 2000, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Barbra sat for the CPA exam in 2003, the last time the exam was administered using paper and pencil, and was issued her license in 2004. She has a wide range of experience from her work in both public firms and in an industry setting.
In September of 2015, Barbra became a mother to a charismatic and joyful little boy she named Kaydon Asher. Kaydon’s first name is the combination of her two sister’s middle names, Kay and Don. Since life before Kaydon has become a distant memory, Barbra now enjoys all the activities that become routine for a single mother. Her particular fulfilments are reading to Kaydon and helping him master his sign-language (a part of the curriculum at his daycare center). She and Kaydon also enjoy dancing together while listening to music…paying no mind to whether it is hip-hop or a simple two-step.
Emma Jane, Team Mascot and Pet Partner Therapy Dog
Emma Jane is the team cheerleader. Emma was found at six weeks old and after many surgeries, it was decided that her sweet and caring disposition would make her perfect for therapy work. Currently she is registered to provide animal-assisted therapy. She is registered with Pet Partners International. She normally greets clients with a quick bark then retreats to her bed unless she thinks there may be some opportunity for a “treat” handout.
